WIPE DAY BRIEFING, SEASON 2026-10

A new island opens clear and empty after mento closes the books at 1,119

Season 2026-09 ran twenty eight days, from 3 September to 1 October, and saw 585 residents pass through before the map gave way. mento finished on top of the kill count with 1,119 scientists down, comfortably ahead of Jeff's 878 and Ty6xxx's 732 in third. hifirock closed out fourth with 646.

The records that outlived the season: mento's 1,119 NPC kills, Snake Hates Crocs's 284.2 hour stay, the longest anyone sat alive on the map in one run, and rabidkevin's tidy zero coins looted, a dry little record for an island where there was never a coin to loot in the first place. Four residents carried the paper's attention across the season: El Agricultor, Katnip, bmcintyre1878, and complexneko, who closed it out.

The new map went up at 13:53 today, seed 669039719 across 4,250 units of coastline, forty six monuments scattered from Launch Site to the Dome, and thirty five days on the clock before anyone has to do this again. The first hour was clear skies and quiet work, a handful of swipes, a couple of elite crates, one careful trip to the seabed. Whatever this season becomes, it hasn't decided yet.

Twenty eight days, 585 residents, and mento finishing well clear at the top

Season 2026-09 ran from 3 September to 1 October, twenty eight days that moved 585 residents through the island. mento finished the wipe on top of the kill count with 1,119 scientists down, comfortably ahead of Jeff's 878 and Ty6xxx's 732. hifirock held fourth with 646. The longest single stay belonged to Snake Hates Crocs, 284.2 hours on the island across the season, and four residents carried the paper's spotlight along the way: El Agricultor, Katnip, bmcintyre1878, and complexneko, who closed it out.

The island took its coastline back at 13:53 today, erasing seaworn bases, half-finished puzzle doors, and whatever mento and Jeff had been building toward each other for a month. It does this without ceremony every time, and it will do it again in thirty five days, and it has never once seemed to mind.

Season 2026-09 will mostly be remembered for how close the chase got before it wasn't: mento spent the back half of the wipe closing the gap on Jeff's kill count and then clearing it outright, finishing at 1,119 against Jeff's 878. GrandpaRoger1 quietly logged a single life that ran past a hundred hours, and nobody came within striking distance of it before the map ended. One resident turned a modest bet at the tables into the wipe's biggest single payout, eleven thousand scrap in one spin, a number the rest of the season spent trying and failing to repeat. Divers kept at it long after the opening hour's excitement wore off, one overnight run alone surfacing thirty crates for the resident who finished the wipe with more pulled from the seabed than anyone else on the island.

The final week never quite cleared, squally skies bookending it with only a little light cloud in between. Residents were still working the puzzle doors and still bringing in the harvest on the last day the way they had on the first. Across the season the island's 585 residents logged 9,896 hours between them, and the scientists paid for it: a little over twenty one thousand of them didn't see the new month.

On the record
P1

Mento's 1,119 kills were a comfortable closing number last season. This paper predicts someone on the new map pushes past it before the thirty five days are up.

P2

Snake Hates Crocs logged 284.2 hours last wipe without much company near the top. Prediction: nobody matches it this time, and the number stands alone again.

P3

Forty six monuments is a lot of ground to fight over. Prediction: one door, Missile Silo or the Dome most likely, becomes this wipe's most contested address.

W1

The new map carries forty six monuments, from Launch Site to the Dome. Watch which one becomes the season's contested door, the way Missile Silo was last time.

W2

Thirty five days are on the clock. Watch whether anyone approaches Snake Hates Crocs's 284.2 hour finish from last season, or whether the island simply doesn't keep anyone still that long this time.

W3

The first hour went to Jekie, two elite loots inside fifty minutes at Water Treatment Plant and then Power Plant. Watch whether a fast start like that holds up over thirty five days the way mento's eventually did.
