A shot from a hundred and eighteen metres closes the book that opened with a hatchet at zero range
The map came up at 13:50 on the third of September off seed 1114005974, thirty eight hundred and fifty units of coastline with nothing built on any of it yet. Twenty six days later, with two still left on the clock, the island has logged 436 kills, 924 keycard swipes, 814 puzzle rooms eventually cracked, and 669 elite crates opened first by whoever got there quickest. None of that required much imagination from the residents. The imagination went into the details: a hatchet finished the wipe's very first kill, and its longest, a rifle round travelling 118.5 metres, landed on the twenty sixth of September near Abandoned Supermarket.
The middle of the wipe belonged to whoever was patient enough to sit on a puzzle room. One took just over twenty hours to fall, nearly all of it spent solved and simply waiting for somebody to walk in. The casino at Bandit Camp paid out 4,000 scrap on a thousand scrap stake twice over, three weeks apart, the same trick working exactly as well the second time as the first. And one life, six hours long and barely touching base, ended having put down sixty four other residents, a number that makes the rest of the season's fighting look almost polite by comparison.
The most recent week's weather ran mostly unsettled, passing showers for five of its seven days, one squally afternoon, and a single stretch of light cloud on the last day sampled, no day anywhere in that window ever clean enough to call clear. The island rarely bothers to be pleasant on purpose.
Nine hundred and twenty four swipes, and one room that waited twenty hours to be opened
Across the wipe the island logged 924 keycard swipes, 548 crates started on the loot tables, and 814 puzzle rooms eventually cracked open, a pace that barely slowed even as the season wore on. Patience was the rarer commodity. One puzzle sat fully solved for close to twenty hours before anyone bothered to collect it, the whole business from door to loot running past twenty hours flat. Others went the opposite way, cleared within minutes of the mechanism finishing, someone plainly waiting right on top of it the entire time. Elite crates were opened first 669 times over the course of the wipe, nearly matching the puzzle count on its own.
Four hundred and thirty six kills, from a bare fist's reach to a hundred and eighteen metres out
The wipe's 436 kills covered the whole armoury and then some. Rocks, hatchets and knives closed plenty of them at zero range, the kind of fight that is over before either side can reconsider it, while the far end of the scale kept stretching: 74.5 metres by day eight, 90.6 by day eighteen, and finally 118.5 metres on the twenty sixth, an l96 round near Abandoned Supermarket that stands as the longest shot the island produced all season. The jackhammer, an industrial tool with no business in a firefight, turned up as the murder weapon on at least four separate occasions across the month, a habit the island never explained and never stopped indulging.
The same thousand scrap trick works twice, three weeks apart
The floor logged 128 bets and 359 results across the wipe, with 14 of those bets coming back as payouts. The biggest was a thousand scrap stake at Bandit Camp returning four thousand, a trick that paid off identically twice, once in the middle of the wipe and again three weeks later as though the wheel had simply been waiting for someone to ask a second time. Everywhere else the returns stayed small and stubborn: ten scrap slot pulls mostly gave nothing back, occasionally rewarding a patient gambler with 25, 60, or once, memorably, 346 scrap on a stake half that size.
Fourteen dives across the whole wipe, and one that outlasted them all
Divers made only 14 recorded trips into deep water over the entire month, but they made them count, surfacing 74 crates between them. The opening day alone produced a rush that filled most of that tally in a single afternoon, crates coming up one after another with barely a pause. The longest single dive of the wipe came late, on day nineteen, keeping someone below the surface for an hour and thirty two minutes before they finally came back up.
Sixty four residents dead in a life that barely touched six hours
The island logged 1,271 lives this wipe and 690 sessions at the planters, hemp, corn, pumpkin, wheat, sunflower, orchid, rose and three colours of berry all going into the ground and coming back out somewhere on the map. Most lives were quiet by comparison to what came out of day seven: a life that ran just over six hours, spent less than five of them at any kind of base, and closed having killed sixty four other residents along the way, easily the bloodiest single life the wipe produced. The longest life on record ran 49.4 hours from spawn to end.
Twenty five cars, ninety three vendor visits, and a handful of jumps that never really left the ground
The shredder took 25 cars across the wipe, most of them arriving in short overnight bursts rather than spread evenly through the month. Vendor stalls saw 93 separate visits, one seller alone moving 3,025 scrap in a single push. The sky produced 12 parachute jumps, and several of them barely qualified: on more than one occasion a resident deployed at ten metres below ground level and stayed airborne for under a second, which is either a glitch in the physics or the fastest possible way to end a jump.
Three names tied on twenty two kills, and a ratio nobody else came close to
Pikachurrito closes the wipe atop the kills table with 22, tied on raw count by Squishyy and 666, though the three look nothing alike up close: Squishyy's 59 deaths leave a 0.37 ratio, while 666's 11 deaths against the same 22 kills make for a clean 2.00. HaZZe sits fourth on kills with 21, but keeps the sharpest ratio in the entire top ten at 5.25, a number that also stands as this wipe's kill to death record. Haunter UwU logged 146.7 hours this wipe, the most of anyone, without once cracking the kills table. Against last wipe's marks, this season falls short in two places and clears one: Jeff "Fortnite" Goldblum's 41 kills and ChiWild100Bang's 338.9 hours both stand untouched, but HaZZe's 5.25 ratio beats SEVON's 4.33 from the wipe before. Community-wide, 283 residents combined for 492 kills across 3,583 hours this season.
Sixty four crates, a forty nine hour life, and a payout that repeated itself
The wipe's nine honours, none of them attached to a name here or anywhere else on this island: a life that ran 49.4 hours stands as the longest anyone managed, a single wheel payout of 4,000 scrap remains the biggest anyone walked away with, and whoever chased down 57 elite first-loots did it without any of the fanfare the number probably deserved.Three weeks, three very different shapes to the fighting
Week one opened fast: 142 kills in six days, and the island's biggest single win came from a spinning wheel rather than a rifle, a 1,440 scrap payout that outshone anything the guns managed. Week two slowed the killing but not the gambling: 81 kills against a wheel at Bandit Camp that paid out four times over, while eleven kills landed inside forty one minutes elsewhere on the map. Week three brought the wipe's strangest life, one that killed thirteen residents in four hours, alongside 101 kills and a puzzle room that sat solved for nineteen hours before anyone claimed it.
Two predictions fell, one held, and the ratio did the heaviest lifting
The wipe day briefing made three bets on where this season would land. That someone would cross 41 kills before the season closed: fell, the wipe's kill leader tops out at 22, not even close to last wipe's mark. That a resident would quietly pass 300 hours logged on this map: fell as well, the wipe's playtime leader closed at 146.7 hours, under half the target. That the K/D leaderboard would produce a name at 4.00 or better: held, and comfortably, with HaZZe's 5.25 sitting well clear of the bar the briefing set.
Whether a fresh map produces a kill leader who can finally chase down last wipe's mark of 41, a number two straight wipes now have failed to touch.
Whether the puzzle rooms keep sitting solved for the better part of a day before anyone collects, or whether a hungrier population picks them clean faster next time.
Whether the wheel finds a new way to pay out four thousand scrap on a fresh map, or whether Bandit Camp's terminal has simply run out of tricks.
