Pure spends its first week racing itself to the same doors
Six days into the 2026-08 season, with twenty two still to go, the island's habits are already set. Nobody here is shooting anybody, so the contest on Pure was never going to be about who lives. It was always going to be about who gets to the crate first, and this week the answer was often "whoever got there twenty minutes ago and came back."
The clearest example sits at the grids H23, G23, and E25, a loop that got run three separate times before Friday's dawn. Big Tedies worked it first, Thursday evening, closing with four hits at E25 inside a minute. Gloobie found the same loop twice more overnight, the second pass landing four E25 crates in just thirty one seconds, the kind of number that suggests either muscle memory or a script, and the digest only confirms the former. Meanwhile Davy Jones took the scenery underwater instead, spending the back half of Friday evening pulling forty eight crates off the seabed in roughly ninety minutes without once coming up for air longer than it takes to swipe a card.
Weather stayed mostly out of the way. Thursday opened dead calm, not a drop of anything but clear sky. By Tuesday the island had worked itself up to its roughest stretch of the week, a quarter of the day's samples turning to rain or storm and fog banks thickening to 0.55, well past the usual haze. It settled back down some by Wednesday, but the pattern is there for anyone keeping score.
The same four doors, worked all day long
Wipe day's card readers barely got a rest. W15, S10, G16, and W20 each turned over to more than one resident inside the first three hours, sometimes the same resident twice: fluk3sh0t cleared W15's level one and level two swipes, walked away, and came back to run them again before 16:30. #?tonza did the same circuit through S10 and W20 a little later that afternoon. Thirty two puzzle rooms were logged as solved on Thursday, and the gap between finishing one and someone actually walking off with the loot ranged wildly. The fastest turnaround was twenty seconds, timestamped 16:22. The slowest puzzle sat completed and unclaimed for two hours and fifteen minutes before anyone bothered to collect it, just after five o'clock the same afternoon. Four crate starts were also flagged that day at V15, Y1, M14, and O1, the last one twice, all from residents who were already deep into their monument crawl.
A wheel that finally pays and a machine that never does
Just after 2am on Friday, M!TZ! settled into the big wheel at K14 for a session that ran until roughly 02:10, cashing five payouts along the way: 90, 90, 165, 90, and 60 scrap against a steady stream of 15 scrap bets. The 165 was the best single spin recorded all week. Not everyone left the casino floor as happy. One of the newer arrivals fed a Caboose slot machine twenty five times in under two minutes on Thursday evening, paying ten scrap a pull for a total of 250 and getting 150 back across four small wins, a tidy 100 scrap loss for the privilege of watching the reels spin.
Davy Jones spends Friday night on the bottom
Between 20:27 and 21:50 on Friday, Davy Jones logged 48 separate underwater crate pulls, a dive that amounts to roughly ninety minutes of near-continuous seabed work. He wasn't the only one down there this week. Earlier that same Friday, rooster had already worked a pre-dawn shift, clearing nineteen crates between 05:02 and 05:42 before the sun was properly up, and Calamari spent close to two hours in the deep water that afternoon, entering at 15:06 and not surfacing until 17:00.
Rosebushes and a record life amid the loot runs
The garden kept turning over hemp, pumpkin, corn, wheat, and at least one rose all week, the rose credited to Sam4207158, who apparently found time between elite crates for something that doesn't shoot back. The standout life of the week, by the digest's own bookkeeping, belonged to SortaRican: four hours and twenty six minutes alive, fifteen scientists killed along the way, and 87 minutes of that life spent inside monument walls. Nobody else's recorded life ran longer.
Three vendor runs clear out at 2,250 scrap apiece
The standard vendor sale on Pure this week ran 750 scrap, but three residents blew past that: Sam4207158 and Big Tedies both cashed 2,250 scrap sales on Saturday, and Shauno-1 matched them early Sunday morning. Between the big hauls, the fishing lines stayed modest, Retep and rooster working anchovies, a sardine, and a small trout into the week's smaller vendor trips.
The H23-G23-E25 loop gets run three times before Friday dawn
Seventy five elite crates were opened across the island's first day alone, most of them at a small handful of grids that clearly know how to reset. The busiest pattern belonged to a loop through H23, G23, and E25: Big Tedies opened it first on Thursday evening, closing his run with four E25 hits inside a minute. Gloobie found the same three grids twice more before dawn broke Friday, the second pass landing four E25 crates just thirty one seconds apart. Whether that loop stays this island's worst kept secret is very much a question for next week.
Sam4207158's forty three minute run to the season's first crate went unchallenged this week, nobody got into elite loot faster from a cold start. Whether that changes as the map fills in.
EasyStr33t arrived at wipe already carrying a little over 108 hours and has added almost nothing since, the tracker still reads 108.8. Whether he ever moves off that number.
No fresh keycard log came through for Big Tedies at W15 after his opening day sprint, so the 21 second double swipe holds by default. Whether Tuesday's storm spike, a quarter of the day gone unsettled, was a blip or the start of rougher weather heading into the back half of the season.
