The house closes a week in the red for the first time all season
Day twenty arrives with the island running through the same choreography it has managed every week since the map went live: every keycard, every puzzle room, every crate that needed cracking got cracked in one long sitting near the front of the week, this time wrapping up by Monday morning. Twenty nine keycard swipes, twelve puzzle rooms and 38 crates started, all logged between Wednesday night and Monday, then nothing. Grid C19 did more of that work than anywhere else, nine of the week's 78 elite first loots landing there alone.
Sunday carried the week's fighting almost single handed. Grid E22 alone saw five kills across the evening, four of them inside eight minutes and every one beyond sixty meters. A rifle round fired that same night at grid R6 travelled 98.9 meters, the longest shot logged all week. By Monday morning at 05:02 the guns went quiet and stayed that way clear through to Wednesday's close, a silence of the better part of three days.
The casino had the stranger reversal. After a joyless ten spin run on Sunday that returned nothing on 87 scrap staked, Wednesday afternoon flipped the ledger entirely: a 74 scrap bet on the big wheel paid back 296, and the slots followed with several double digit wins of their own. When the week's paid and received figures were totalled, the tables finished 173 scrap behind the players, the first week this season the house has closed in the red.
Friday came back fully clear, the island's first such day since its second week. Thursday's fog thickened to 0.55, comfortably past the usual haze, and Tuesday turned to heavy rain, the least settled day the ledger recorded all week, with better than one sample in five catching rain somewhere on the island.
Every lock on the island got picked before Monday
The pattern holds for a fourth straight week: 29 keycard swipes, 12 puzzle rooms looted and 38 crates started, all of it landing between Wednesday night and Monday morning, then silence for the rest of the window. Elite first loots ran a little longer, closing at 78 for the week, and grid C19 did an outsized share of that work, nine loots to its name, more than any other address. The gap between a puzzle going solvable and someone actually coming back for it swung wildly: one room waited 22 hours and 51 minutes before it was collected, while another was emptied within 3 minutes of being cracked.
The players finish a week ahead, for once
Across the week the tables paid out 558 scrap and returned 731, leaving the house 173 scrap behind, the first losing week the casino has logged this season. Sunday looked like business as usual, a ten spin run at the wheel that swallowed 87 scrap and gave nothing back. Wednesday undid all of it: a 74 scrap wheel bet returned 296, and a run of slot pulls turned small stakes into repeated double digit wins.
Four dives, no bursts, just a long wait underwater
The seabed skipped the crate rushes of recent weeks entirely. Four traversals were logged, running from just under half an hour to a full 2 hours and 18 minutes, the longest of the week, and not a single underwater crate came up with any of them.
Twenty two harvests, then the fields go still again
Five wheat, four blue berry, four hemp, four corn, three pumpkin and two yellow berry came off the vine this week, 22 harvests in total, every one of them between Wednesday night and Friday evening and nothing since. The island's other ledger, the one that tracks whole lives, recorded one that ran 16 hours and 45 minutes and claimed 12 animals and 6 scientists without touching a single resident, and another, far stranger, that lasted just 4 hours and 3 minutes yet logged 69 fellow residents, with an hour and 45 minutes of that life spent around monuments rather than at home.
11,175 scrap through the vendor, one steady run at a time
The vendor moved 11,175 scrap across 21 visits this week, mostly in familiar 750 scrap batches. The week's only two parachute jumps were an odd pair: one covered 208 units off a clean 38.8 meter deploy, the other somehow carried 1,168 units despite opening at minus 14.4 meters, a number the log offers with no further explanation.
Seventy nine kills, nearly all of them borrowed from one night
Seventy nine kills went into the log this week. Grid N13 opened the week's account with 8 kills inside roughly 80 minutes overnight Wednesday into Thursday, and grid I12 answered Friday afternoon with three mp5 kills inside 96 seconds and a fourth half an hour later. Sunday belonged to grid E22, which logged five kills across the evening, four of them inside eight minutes and every one beyond 60 meters, the same night a rifle round at grid R6 covered 98.9 meters, the longest shot of the week. Seventeen of the 79 kills, better than one in five, landed at zero distance, everything from a rock to a satchel charge. After a final kill at 05:02 Monday morning, the log fell completely silent for the remainder of the week.
Three lives ended by a rocket that never left the room
The rocket_basic scored three kills this week and never once logged a distance greater than zero, which says more about the doorways involved than the launcher. The skinning knife closed out three lives of its own, and a bare rock managed two, also both at zero range. Twice this week the kill log records no weapon at all, just a life ending and a blank where the cause should be. Across the week's 79 kills the island cycled through 25 distinct ways to end somebody, from a longsword up to an l96.
Jeff holds the top spot on the tightest ratio in the top ten
Jeff "Fortnite" Goldblum leads the board with 49 hours and 16 minutes played, 38 kills against 20 deaths, and a 1.90 K/D, the best mark of anyone in the top ten. HaZZe sits second on 73 hours and 14 minutes, essentially even at 30 kills and 29 deaths. Gamerwes has logged more time than either of them, 162 hours and 55 minutes, for a quieter 25 kills and 55 deaths. Down at fourth, ChiWild100Bang has put in 256 hours and 32 minutes this season, the most of anyone on the board, for 24 kills against 249 deaths, a 0.10 K/D that has to be respected simply for the hours it took to build.
Whether the island's monuments, quiet since Monday morning, wake up again before the season's final bell.
Whether the casino claws back its 173 scrap deficit or hands the players an even bigger cushion heading into the finale.
Whether the finale finds fog thicker than Thursday's 0.55, and whether that first keycard lock from wipe day ever sees a second swipe before the map resets.
