Grid E21 spends an afternoon as the island's only address
Sunday afternoon settled the question of where the fighting would happen this week. Between 12:38 and 17:13, eleven kills landed at a single grid, E21, with the fight spilling into the neighbouring squares of E22, E20, D21, and H19. Rifles did most of the work, semi automatic and ak47u alike, but the afternoon found room for a hunting bow twice, a rocket from an MLRS, and at one point, nothing more than a thrown rock. The week's longest confirmed kill, a rifle shot at 112.4 metres, landed at E22 in the middle of it all.
Away from that fight, the island logged thirty three confirmed kills across the week, Thursday's cleaver and sword mixing with Monday's satchel charge at grid L4 that caught two residents in the same blast. The monuments, quiet for six straight days by the last count, came roaring back: thirty seven crates started, twenty three keycard swipes, and twenty puzzle rooms cracked, one of them in just over two seconds. The casino's one enormous payout from last issue did not repeat itself, the house finishing this week roughly 298 scrap ahead instead. And out past the shallows, five separate dives went looking for whatever lives down there, one of them lasting two hours and eight minutes.
The building unsettled weather flagged last issue found its storm. Tuesday logged the week's highest unsettled reading and a fog peak of 0.55, well above the island's usual 0.35 haze, under a label of thundery. It arrived after two flawless, fogless days: Friday and Saturday both read fully clear, so the run from calm to storm took less than seventy two hours. Fifteen days remain in the season.
Eleven kills, one grid, one Sunday afternoon
The week's thirty three confirmed kills were not spread evenly. Sunday alone accounted for most of them, anchored by a stretch from 12:38 to 17:13 when eleven kills landed at grid E21 and the fighting bled into E22, E20, D21, and H19 around it. Ak47u and semi automatic rifles carried most of the exchange, a hunting bow scored twice, an MLRS rocket ended one fight outright, and at 13:05 someone was finished with a plain rock rather than a weapon at all.
The rest of the week was quieter by comparison. Thursday opened with a salvaged cleaver and, hours later, a salvaged sword, both point blank kills. The week's longest confirmed shot, 112.4 metres, landed at E22 in the middle of Sunday's fight, well clear of anything else logged this week.
The quiet six days apparently meant nothing
Last issue's monument log went silent for six straight days. This week's answers that silence loudly: thirty seven crates were started across grids from A11 to Y22, twenty three keycard swipes went through readers, and twenty puzzle rooms were cracked. One red card room in particular, reached through a green swipe followed by a blue one, was visited seven separate times this week, more traffic than any other door recorded.
Grids K16, C19, and G13 each drew four separate crate starts, more attention than anywhere else on the island. Puzzle speeds varied wildly: the fastest room fell in just over two seconds late Friday night, while the slowest took just under a minute early Thursday morning.
Not every ending needed a trigger
Thursday produced two point blank deaths within hours of each other, one to a salvaged cleaver, one to a salvaged sword. Sunday's long fight around grid E21 found room for a hunting bow twice and, at one stage, nothing more than a thrown rock. Monday morning brought the week's strangest symmetry: a satchel charge at grid L4 killed two residents in the exact same instant, one blast doing the work of two.
The house finishes the week roughly 298 scrap ahead
The big wheel took in 318 scrap across the week's bets and paid back only 32 of it, one run of tiny one scrap wagers on Saturday evening barely denting either side of the ledger. A bold 59 scrap bet lost outright, and so did the week's final recorded spin, 50 scrap gone on Tuesday evening. The slot machines fared little better for the house's opponents: a Saturday session turned 12 scrap of pulls into 5 back, and Monday's caboose machine briefly paid 25 scrap on a 10 scrap pull before giving the rest away to nobody.
Pumpkins lead a quiet harvest, and one life sleeps through all of it
Twenty four crops came off the vine this week: six pumpkins, four yellow berries, four blue berries, three orchids, two potatoes, two hemp plants, and one each of green berry, red berry, and corn. Life on the island varied more than the harvest did. One recorded life ran 27 hours and 46 minutes, nearly all of it, almost 25 hours, spent inside a base. Another packed 45 scientist kills into under thirteen and a half hours before it ended, the most of any life logged this week. A third life is worth noting for what it did not do: 14 hours and 7 minutes recorded, every second of it asleep.
Vendors move another 8,625 scrap
NPC vendors processed seventeen trades this week for a combined 8,625 scrap, most of it moving in 750 scrap chunks. Fishing barely registered by comparison: two catches all week, a yellow perch and a salmon, both landing within ten minutes of each other on Monday afternoon.
Five dives, one lasting past two hours
Divers went under five times this week, entering and, mostly, coming back out again. The longest single trip lasted two hours and eight minutes overnight from Saturday into Sunday, and two of the week's surfacings brought a pair of residents up together rather than one. Across all five dives, the island's divers spent a combined nine hours and nineteen minutes below the surface.
NukeTown holds on, barely
NukeTown keeps the top spot after 62 hours and 22 minutes on the island, 16 kills against 24 deaths for a 0.67 K/D, a touch softer than last week's mark. shadow. holds second on a far lighter 16 hours and 13 minutes, trading blows almost as often, 13 kills to 23 deaths. Down at rank four, Neighbor Joe owns the board's best ratio by a wide margin, 8 kills for just 3 deaths, a 2.67 K/D built in 45 hours and 17 minutes.
At the other end of the table, WarfareJordan has logged more hours than anyone else in the top ten, 111 hours and 39 minutes, for 7 kills against 35 deaths. Skippy is close behind on both counts, 85 hours and 22 minutes for 7 kills and 34 deaths.
Elsewhere on the board, elite crates gave up their first loot 73 times this week, and residents were assisted through wounds three times and fully healed four times.
You will see whether E21 was a one-day flare-up or the start of a hot zone that keeps drawing crowds.
You will find out whether the casino's winning week for the house holds, or whether the wheel swings back the other way.
With fifteen days left in the season, you will watch whether the standings' top four hold their places, or whether the heavy-hours grinders start closing the gap.
